Job Description
Our client is a top-tier global investment management firm in Los Angeles and is seeking a Head of Data Engineering & Architecture to lead the strategy, design, and delivery of innovative, enterprise-scale data solutions. This executive-level role combines visionary leadership with hands-on technical expertise in Azure-based data architecture and governance.
Key Responsibilities:

Define and execute an enterprise data strategy aligned with business objectives

Lead and manage a team of data engineers and architects across cloud and data lake environments

Oversee the development of scalable pipelines and trusted data products using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Databricks

Implement and govern data standards, metadata, lineage, and quality frameworks
-
Collaborate with stakeholders across Investments, Risk, and Operations to ensure data solutions deliver operational efficiency and strategic value
Qualifications:

15+ years in data/analytics with 10+ years in data architecture/engineering leadership

Deep experience in Azure cloud technologies and large-scale data processing

Strong understanding of asset management and investment data (e.g., AUM, attribution, benchmarks)

Proven success leading enterprise data transformations and governance initiatives
