Job Description
As the Director of Business Applications, you will oversee the management, strategy, and execution of the company’s business applications portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that applications align with business objectives and provide robust solutions to support the company’s operations and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the business applications team, providing direction and support.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the current and future application environment.
- Ensure the efficient operation and integration of business applications including Yardi, NexusPayables, JD Edwards, SharePoint, Concur, Microsoft Power BI, Essbase, Salesforce, Argus, ServiceNow, VTS, Oracle Unifier, and Anaplan.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to business applications.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all applications.
- Provide training and support to users to maximize the effectiveness of business applications.
- Monitor and evaluate application performance, making recommendations for improvements.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Proven experience as a Director of Business Applications or similar role.
- Strong understanding of a wide range of business applications including Yardi, NexusPayables, JD Edwards, SharePoint, Concur, Microsoft Power BI, Essbase, Salesforce, Argus, ServiceNow, VTS, Oracle Unifier, and Anaplan.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience in the life sciences or real estate industries.
- Familiarity with data warehousing and business intelligence tools.
- Knowledge of cloud-based solutions and integrations.
