Job Description


Our client, a leading eCommerce business, is seeking a highly skilled Email Marketing Specialist to join their marketing team. This hybrid role will lead the design, HTML coding, testing, and scheduling of all email marketing messages. The ideal candidate will have a passion for email marketing, a keen eye for detail, and experience in optimizing email campaigns through A/B testing and segmentation.

The Email Marketing Specialist will collaborate closely with internal teams to coordinate content, design compelling emails, and implement successful email marketing strategies. Additionally, this role will manage eCommerce promotions in Shopify and assist with loyalty, direct mail, and SMS marketing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, code (HTML), and schedule weekly email marketing messages.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create and coordinate email content, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Implement A/B testing strategies, including testing subject lines, segmentation, and send times to optimize performance.
  • Build and manage all eCommerce promotions within Shopify.
  • Develop and execute segmented email campaigns based on customer behavior, engagement, and demographic data.
  • Analyze email performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations to enhance email marketing efforts.
  • Assist in the execution of loyalty programs, direct mail campaigns, and SMS marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure all emails are responsive, error-free, and optimized for deliverability across various email platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest email marketing trends, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Email Marketing Specialist or similar role in eCommerce.
  • Proficient in HTML/CSS for email coding and responsive email design.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of A/B testing strategies, segmentation, and email optimization.
  • Familiarity with Shopify and experience managing eCommerce promotions.
  • Basic knowledge of SMS marketing and loyalty program strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with direct mail campaigns and loyalty program management.
  • Knowledge of email deliverability best practices and CAN-SPAM compliance.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and other web analytics tools.
