Job Description
Our client is a leading industrial manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead procurement operations across a wide range of commodities, including fabricated components, OEM parts, and MRO materials. This is a hands-on role requiring strong supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and procurement process ownership in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage procurement of fabricated components, catalog items, and MRO supplies
-
Negotiate pricing, terms, and supplier agreements for assigned commodities
-
Maintain purchase order documentation, vendor files, and compliance records
-
Support inventory and cost targets aligned with production schedules
-
Facilitate supplier sourcing and qualification for new product development
-
Coordinate calibration returns and on-site service needs
Qualifications:
-
7+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
-
Strong understanding of contracts, incoterms, RFQs, and price analysis
-
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; JDE experience preferred
-
Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is a plus
-
ISM certification or coursework a plus
Requirements:

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently

Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and initiative

Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs and work at a computer for extended periods
