IT Systems and Support Specialist
Job Description
Our client, a respected insurance provider, is seeking a IT Systems and Support Specialist to join their Operations team. This hybrid role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills who enjoys supporting internal systems and driving operational efficiency.
Position Overview
The IT Systems and Support Specialist plays a key role in managing and enhancing internal systems, supporting end-users, and maintaining critical infrastructure. This position requires a blend of systems knowledge, hands-on technical ability, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and support the company’s imaging system, including workflow design, testing, and enhancements
Provide first-line technical support for PCs, printers, and other office hardware
Maintain internal Microsoft Access databases for administrative use
Assist end-users in identifying and resolving technical needs
Support A/V and conference room setup for meetings
Contribute to website maintenance and special technical projects
Perform workstation setup and provide onboarding tech support for new hires
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
3+ years of experience in database programming and PC hardware maintenance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and multitasking abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with system interdependencies and business process support
Comfortable lifting up to 15 lbs and working in confined spaces for equipment setup
Experience in the insurance industry is a plus
Work Environment
Hybrid schedule: minimum 3 days onsite per week in the Portland office
Standard office environment with extended computer use
Occasional overtime may be required based on project needs
