Position Overview: As a Family Services Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting families by connecting them with the resources and services they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to families by assessing their needs and connecting them with appropriate child care and development services.
- Assist families in understanding and navigating the various programs and services offered by the organization.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of family interactions, services provided, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other staff members and external partners to coordinate services and ensure comprehensive support for families.
- Conduct outreach and engagement activities to connect with families in need of services.
- Provide information and referrals to community resources, including health, education, and social services.
- Assist in the development and implementation of family support programs and workshops.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services provided to families, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Uphold the organization's mission and values in all interactions with families, colleagues, and community partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Child Development, Human Services, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in family services, child care, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of child development, family dynamics, and community resources.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse families.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
- Commitment to the mission of improving the lives of families through quality services and advocacy.
