Job Description

Kinect is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Analyst with a focus on Financial Reporting to join our client’s team, a prominent life science REIT located in Pasadena, CA. This hybrid role requires the candidate to be onsite three days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely for two days.

As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. You will work closely with the finance team to support financial reporting processes and provide insights that drive strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements for SEC reporting.
  • Utilize WebFilings/Wdesk/Workiva for financial reporting and ensure timely submission of reports.
  • Support the financial reporting process, including consolidation and review of financial data.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather and validate financial information for reporting purposes.
  • Maintain and update financial reporting templates and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of financial information for XBRL purposes.
  • Utilize Oracle Essbase for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst with a focus on financial reporting.
  • Prior experience with WebFilings/Wdesk/Workiva is preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle Essbase and understanding of how financial statements are presented for XBRL purposes is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in the life sciences or real estate industries.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of financial systems and software.
