Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Administrator to take responsibility for managing our client’s Information Systems (IS) related inventory and the company's position in software licenses. As a Procurement Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability of hardware and software resources across the organization. Your primary focus will be conducting inventory and license audits to maintain compliance with software manufacturers' agreements. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining an IT Asset Management system to optimize resource allocation and minimize costs.
The ideal candidate for this role should have prior experience in IS procurement, preferably within a multi-unit food service or hospitality organization. You should have a strong understanding of IT procurement processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities:
- Manage the company's IS-related inventory, including hardware and software resources.
- Ensure the availability of hardware and software by coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Conduct regular inventory and license audits to maintain compliance with software manufacturers' agreements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address any license non-compliance issues.
- Maintain and update the IT Asset Management system to accurately track and manage IT resources.
- Work closely with the IT department to forecast and plan future hardware and software requirements.
- Assist in negotiating contracts and agreements with software vendors and suppliers.
- Continuously evaluate procurement processes and suggest improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to IS procurement.
- Bachelor's degree
- Prior experience in IS procurement, preferably in a multi-unit food service or hospitality organization is preferred.
- Strong understanding of IT procurement processes, software licensing, and contract management.
- Proficiency in using IT Asset Management software and related tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with acute attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to IT procurement.
