Job Description

Kinect is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Architect to join our client's team at a prominent regional hospital in Southern California. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the hospital's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability. This is a critical role that supports the hospital's mission of providing exceptional healthcare services to the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement network solutions to meet the hospital's current and future needs.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network architecture plans and documentation.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Implement security measures to protect the hospital's network from internal and external threats.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to understand their networking requirements and provide solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and industry trends to ensure the hospital's network infrastructure remains cutting-edge.
  • Provide training and support to IT staff on network-related issues and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in network architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and security.
  • Experience with healthcare IT systems and understanding of HIPAA regulations is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in network management and monitoring tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP are preferred.
