Kinect is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our client’s team, a leading life science REIT located in Pasadena, CA. This hybrid role requires the candidate to be onsite three days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely for two days.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our client’s network infrastructure, focusing on Cisco, Cisco Meraki, and Palo Alto Networks technologies. You will work closely with the IT team to ensure the network's reliability, security, and performance, supporting the company’s business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage network solutions using Cisco, Cisco Meraki, and Palo Alto Networks technologies.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Implement security measures to protect the network from threats and vulnerabilities.
• Maintain and update network documentation, including configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and projects.
• Perform regular network assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and IT staff.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering.
• Expertise in Cisco, Cisco Meraki, and Palo Alto Networks technologies.
• Cisco certifications such as CCNP or CCIE preferred.
• Palo Alto Networks certifications preferred.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and security.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the life sciences or real estate industries.
• Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with network automation and scripting.
