They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Developer to join their team on a contract basis to support their complex data projects.
Job Description:
Position Overview: As a Senior Oracle Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle database solutions for complex projects involving large databases, high volumes of data, and bulk parallel processing. You will work remotely, but must be available during EST hours. This role requires extensive knowledge of Oracle Exadata and the ability to handle complex data projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database solutions for complex healthcare data projects.
- Work with large databases and high volumes of data, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Implement bulk parallel processing techniques to handle data efficiently.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other team members to understand project requirements and deliver robust database solutions.
- Optimize database performance, tuning SQL queries, and ensuring data integrity and security.
- Develop and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of database solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, providing support to other team members as needed.
- Stay current with Oracle Exadata and database development best practices and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle Developer, with a focus on complex data projects.
- Extensive knowledge of Oracle Exadata and related technologies.
- Proven experience with large databases, high volumes of data, and bulk parallel processing.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL and SQL tuning.
- Strong understanding of database design principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus but not required.
