Job Description:
Position Overview: As a Senior Trust Officer, you will be responsible for the administration of trust accounts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional service to clients. This role requires in-depth knowledge of trust administration, estate planning, and fiduciary responsibilities. You will work onsite at the Los Gatos or Century City office 3-4 days a week, collaborating with a team of financial professionals to deliver tailored trust solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer a portfolio of trust accounts, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, estates, and other fiduciary relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and fiduciary standards.
- Conduct thorough reviews of trust documents, interpret terms, and execute duties accordingly.
- Collaborate with clients, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders to address inquiries and provide exceptional service.
- Coordinate with attorneys, tax advisors, and other professionals to facilitate trust and estate planning.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for trust accounts.
- Monitor trust investments, distributions, and transactions to ensure they align with trust provisions and client objectives.
- Identify opportunities for new trust business and assist in the development of client relationships.
- Stay informed about changes in trust laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and enhance service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in trust administration or a related field.
- CTFA (Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor) designation preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of trust and estate planning, fiduciary laws, and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in trust accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
