Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Project Engineer to join our client's team in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and executing IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all technical aspects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards. This role is fully onsite, requiring a strong presence in the office five days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of IT infrastructure projects for clients in various industries.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems.
- Perform system upgrades, migrations, and optimizations to enhance performance and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during project execution.
- Provide technical documentation and training to clients and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with other IT team members to deliver seamless, integrated solutions to clients.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions to clients.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT Project Engineer or similar role, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, virtualization, and cloud services.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of the hospitality, restaurants, nightlife, or real estate industries is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CompTIA) are a plus.
