Job Description
Our client, a leading global investment management firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support and enhance a mission-critical trading and risk management platform on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives in high-performance, reliable, and compliant environments.
Key Responsibilities

Lead production support, reliability, and controlled enhancement of Windows desktop applications built in C#/.NET Framework (4.8) using WinForms/WPF.

Maintain and optimize large T-SQL stored procedure libraries—triaging, tuning, and evolving schemas safely.

Ensure stable 24/7 operations of Windows Services integrating with Unix hosts and SQL Server databases.

Manage incident response, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.

Collaborate with trading, risk, and operations teams to translate requests into deliverables with measurable outcomes.

Maintain and enhance Power BI datasets, DAX measures, and on-prem gateways to support reporting and reconciliation needs.

10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 5+ years building and maintaining Windows desktop applications in C#/.NET (4.8).

Strong SQL Server expertise — stored procedures, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Proven experience maintaining 24/7 production systems with high reliability.

Familiarity with Windows–Unix integrations, reconciliation logic, and audit/compliance practices (SOX preferred).

Working knowledge of Power BI model and dataset management.
- Foreign exchange (FX) or trading system experience highly desirable.
