Job Description
Position Summary:
Our client in the consumer products business is seeking a Senior Accountant to play a critical role in managing their financial operations. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing various financial functions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and contributing to the company's continued success and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and financial reports.
- Perform financial analysis to support decision-making and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial objectives and resolve any financial issues.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff.
- Assist with annual audits and tax preparation.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems. SAP Preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
