Job Description


Our client, a leading global asset management company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Fabric Administrator to join their global technology infrastructure and operations team on a contract basis. This role focuses on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI governance, ensuring secure, efficient, and compliant data usage across a large enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement Microsoft Fabric and Power BI governance and best practices.

  • Manage data access, enforce policies, and promote data literacy.

  • Oversee Fabric workspaces, security roles, and data quality; maintain a report catalog for discoverability.

  • Provide Fabric and Power BI support, including report publishing, gateway management, and backups.

  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI and related analytics tools.

  • Conduct root-cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures.

  • Develop documentation, standard operating procedures, and deliver knowledge-transfer sessions.

Qualifications

  • Deep expertise with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Data Factory, and Power BI.

  • Hands-on experience with Power BI Service administration, governance, and security models (RLS/OLS).

  • Strong understanding of data governance principles—security, access control, quality, and compliance.

  • Familiarity with Azure SQL services, cloud migration, and hybrid cloud environments.

  • Experience with DevOps/CI-CD practices, Confluence, Jira, and high-availability architectures.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
